Let's clear up some doubts you might have concerning the Virtual Study in Holland Fair!

What is a virtual fair?

It is an online event to learn more about your options to study in Holland. Each university will have their own booth that you can visit, just like in a normal education fair. You will be able obtain their brochures, watch videos and of course talk to the people representing the universities through a chat window!

These are mainly people from admissions and recruitment, so they can answer any question you might have concerning:

  • study programmes
  • admission requirements
  • scholarships
  • housing
  • visa
  • student life
  • etc.

Do I need anything special to participate?

To visit the virtual fair you do not need anything special; you can use your computer, laptop, tablet or cell phone to visit this online event.

How much does it cost to participate?

Visiting the virtual fair is completely free!! Just sign up to receive the link to the event by e-mail.

How do I sign up?

Just fill out the registration form to create your account. After completing the form, you will receive an automatic e-mail (please also check your spam folder) with a confirmation link. Click the link and you're all set for the virtual fair!

The day of the fair, just login with your e-mail address and the password you created.

What time does the fair start and end? Can I join after the fair has already started?

The virtual fair will be open to the public from 18:00h until 22:00h Western European time (UTC+1). You can check the times in your local time zone for the event here.

You can join any time within the opening hours, it is not necessary to be connected exactly at the time of opening.

How should I prepare for the fair?

First check out the profiles of the participating institutions of the fair to get a global idea about each one. Do some of them seem attractive to you? Then visit their websites to find out more about the study programmes and write down any questions you might have for the representatives during the fair!

I don't speak Dutch! Is that a problem? What language should I use during the fair?

Don't worry! Since there are so many English-taught programmes in the Netherlands, you will have no problems asking your questions in that language either.

All institutions will have English-speaking staff in the virtual booths, and some of them will also have Spanish-speaking staff for the questions through the chat!

Do the institutions offer scholarships?

In the Netherlands, you can find many scholarships offered by the Dutch government and Dutch institutions on the Grantfinder website. Many institutions have their own scholarship programmes for international students, which you can check out on their websites. Furthermore, do not forget to check out the scholarships offered in your home country!
